It isn’t any secret that Alabama defensive lineman Jesse Williams is a beast in the weight room and on the field. I mean, his Twitter handle is @ThaMonstar. And his star is rising, along with his bench press max.
This morning Williams threw up 600 pounds on bench press as jaws dropped around him. And it isn’t even August yet. That is six 45-pound weights and one 7.5-pound weight on each side of a 45-pound bar. Or a small car.
Poor 195-pound Denard Robinson will be the first quarterback to line up across from the Aussie on September 1 in Dallas when Alabama opens up the season against Michigan.
