Former casino lobbyist Jennifer Pouncey continued her testimony this afternoon by alluding to a $100,000 bribe allegedly requested by former State Senator Larry Means from Attalla for his vote on Senate Bill 380 in 2010. Pouncey testified that Means needed the money for a costly upcoming campaign. She went back to her boss, Jarrod Massey, to inform him of the conversation she had with Means.
“I told him Senator Means wanted $100,000 for his vote,” Pouncy testified.
She went on to say that Massey called Ronnie Gilley to get the OK for the campaign contribution and the answer was yes.
With her testimony, Pouncey has made herself vulnerable to what is sure to be a nasty cross-examination by defense lawyers this afternoon. It has become a low-down, filthy shit show and we all know how those turn out.
Pouncey has already pleaded guilty to conspiracy and is cooperating with the prosecution to possibly receive a lesser sentence. Good luck with that!
