Denver Broncos backup quarterback Brady Quinn gave a candid interview with GQ Magazine recently and sounded more like a jilted lover rather than a teammate of starting QB Tim Tebow.
In the article by Michael Silver, Quinn was quoted as saying, “We’ve had a lot of, I guess, luck, to put it simply.” He went on to say that the fans were the only reason Tebow got the gig instead of him.
“I felt like the fans had a lot to do with that,” Quinn said in the article. “Just ’cause they were chanting his name. There was a big calling for him. No, I don’t have any billboards. That would have been nice.”
Quinn also threw in a mini-IED on Tebow’s constant homage to his faith saying he doesn’t “seem very humble to me.”
Although Quinn took to Twitter after the article was released to clear up any misconceptions about his comments, the damage had already been done. If he isn’t careful, he might be shipped back to dreadful Cleveland to backup Colt McCoy’s backup. Te-bow down.
