Camera phones are becoming increasingly distracting to players on the PGA Tour, even forcing one of its’ most popular players in Phil Mickelson to dip out of last week’s Memorial Tournament after just one round. Mickelson reportedly went so far as to texting the commissioner in the middle of the round to express his displeasure with the cameras.
Current rules allow fans to use their cameras and/or camera phones in certain areas of the golf course with the expectation that they will follow the rules. The only problem is they don’t.
So, should the PGA Tour ban all cameras and phones from future tournaments?
