Hoover Police arrested Robert Gardner Sproul III, 36, in connection with last month’s robbery of the BBVA Compass Bank at 1560 Montgomery Highway.
According to Sproul’s Facebook page, he is a graduate of Briarwood Christian High School (1994) and Samford University (1999), where he studied business management. After college he began working for SouthTrust Bank, which became Wachovia, which became Wells Fargo, yada, yada, yada. He lists Assistant Waiter at Bottega Restaurant as his latest job on Facebook, but that is sure to change as Birmingham’s restaurant extraordinaire Frank Stitt is not in the business of employing alleged bank robbers.
Sproul is currently being held on a rather low $15,000 bond in the Jefferson County Jail.
