Michael Dyer has a lot to be thankful for today, even on the heels of being dismissed from Arkansas State last week, putting his football career in serious limbo.
Dyer was pulled over by an Arkansas State Trooper in March after being clocked going 96 MPH on the interstate. The trooper eventually found weed and a gun in his possession, but being the nice guy that he is, the cop let Dyer off with only a speeding ticket.
Dyer dodged a huge bullet while in Auburn after he helped prosecutors in June send his former teammate Antonio Goodwin to prison for 15 years for armed robbery. He testified that it was his gun that was used by Goodwin.
Sooner or later, the piper will come calling for the 2010 BCS Offensive MVP. And when that time comes, he might find himself in a similar position as Goodwin.
