Fired Arkansas State Trooper Royce Denney.
According to reports out of Arkansas, the State Trooper who let former Arkansas State running back Michael Dyer off with a speeding ticket after finding a gun and some weed, has been fired today.
Dyer has now been kicked off of two football teams, sent a former teammate to jail for 15 years and put a hard working police officer in the unemployment line. Even former mob hitman Sammy the Bull would be proud of that work.
Who is next for Mikey “The Transfer” Dyer?
Denny will appeal his termination.
Michael Dyer has a lot to be thankful for today, even on the heels of being dismissed from Arkansas State last week, putting his football career in serious limbo.
Dyer was pulled over by an Arkansas State Trooper in March after being clocked going 96 MPH on the interstate. The trooper eventually found weed and a gun in his possession, but being the nice guy that he is, the cop let Dyer off with only a speeding ticket.
Dyer dodged a huge bullet while in Auburn after he helped prosecutors in June send his former teammate Antonio Goodwin to prison for 15 years for armed robbery. He testified that it was his gun that was used by Goodwin.
Sooner or later, the piper will come calling for the 2010 BCS Offensive MVP. And when that time comes, he might find himself in a similar position as Goodwin.
