Reuben Foster, a 6-foot-2, 246 pound inside linebacker, allowed a camera from Primetime Gridiron Live to follow him around for a day, and Foster talked candidly about his decision to leave Troup High School, Mark Richt and the Georgia Bulldogs and what to expect from him on signing day. The current University of Alabama commitment transferred to Auburn High recently from Troup in LaGrange, Ga.
The best part starts around the 5:30 mark when Foster shoots skeet over a pond in Auburn, Ala. That clip is followed by a shot of the heralded recruit meeting a former Auburn football coach and present Tigers Unlimited fundraiser Joe Whitt. Coincidence or planned maneuver from Gene Chizik and his staff?
Foster said “When it comes down to signing day, you’re going to see an ‘RT’.” He was asked to clarify what that meant, in which he answered, “Roll Tide!”.
We shall see.
